APTelecom has established a new digital infrastructure-focused investment arm, called APT Procure. This entity is the genesis of APTelecom, which has been operating in US & Asia for over 15 years. Among the company’s core offerings are due diligence, fiber sales, data center and strategic consulting services.

In recent months, APTelecom has played a strategic role in supporting various projects directly or indirectly in collaboration with organisations such as KPMG among others. Projects have included due diligence support in acquiring telco assets, proposed new multi-country international cables and government-based initiatives focused on digitization.

“America’s future depends on universal connectivity to essential, reliable, robust infrastructures and with the rapid expansion of the global digital economy, broadband infrastructure is now more critical than ever,” said Gary Bolton, President and CEO at the Fiber Broadband Association. “The industry now has the resources, resolve and direction to achieve this goal. What a difference two years can make! 2022 is the 44th annual PTC gathering. PTC has certainly been on an interesting journey in our industry when you consider that at PTC’20, we celebrated together in Honolulu at the best Annual Conference Pacific Telecommunications Council ever held, with record attendance at the Hilton Hawaiian Village®.

When APTelecom was founded back in 2009, their very first piece of business was a 10Gb subsea circuit from Jakarta to Singapore. That deal was quickly followed by a succession of similar deals. In parallel, given that their core competency is submarine cable capacity sales, both pre RFS and in-service systems, APTelecom quickly established a niche for itself in the pre-sales and post sales market for system developers and have been delivering pre-sales for clients ever since.

The pandemic highlights how internet access empowers citizens to work remotely, operate an online business, use e-government and telehealth services, and attend virtual events and classes. In a post-pandemic era, where mobility in all forms encompasses cities and rural areas, leaders and innovators need to bridge the digital divide with affordable, sustainable broadband solutions.
