KKR signed a definitive agreement under which KKR’s investment funds will purchase Barracuda Networks Inc. ("Barracuda" or "the Company"), a leading provider of cloud-first security solutions, from Thoma Bravo, a leading software investment firm. Financial terms were not disclosed.

I Squared Capital has closed its ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund III at the $15 billion legal cap, exceeding an initial target of $12 billion. Including commitments from I Squared Capital and a dedicated co-investment vehicle, the fund has $15.5 billion in investable capital and received commitments from over 200 institutional investors, including public and private pensions, sovereign funds, insurance companies, asset managers and family offices in 27 countries. I Squared Capital has targeted the deployment of approximately 36 percent of the fund in ten investments across its targeted sectors.

Tony Lacavera’s Canadian investment firm Globalive Capital Inc has offered to buy Shaw Communications Inc’s wireless telecoms unit Freedom Mobile for C$3.75 billion ($2.94 billion) in cash, Reuters has confirmed to Telecom Review.

SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk announced that the company’s Starlink satellite internet service had expanded coverage to Ukraine, potentially providing the government with an alternative secure communications uplink as Ukraine’s military continues to resist invading Russian forces.

“To succeed as spectrum partners, the FCC and NTIA must hear from and listen to each other in both formal and informal ways,” said FCC chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel. “A common understanding of spectrum engineering and market conditions is essential for the success of our efforts at the FCC and NTIA to manage the country’s spectrum resources,” said assistant secretary of commerce Alan Davidson.
