Liberty Latin America has reached an agreement with Phoenix Tower International (PTI) to monetize approximately 1,300 mobile tower sites across Panama, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Barbados and the British Virgin Islands.

In collaboration with a number of partners, including Fiji International Telecommunications, Office of Posts and Telecommunications of French Polynesia, APTelecom and Vocus Group, South Pacific Connect initiative will deliver two new international subsea cables connecting Fiji and French Polynesia to both the United States and Australia.

Telxius, a leading global connectivity provider, will be extending its ultra-high capacity subsea cable Tikal to land in Cancun (Mexico). Tikal was announced jointly with America Movil in January 2023 to connect Puerto Barrios (Guatemala) to Boca Raton (United States). Telxius will now lead independently, on its own, the extension project to Cancun and the related supply contract is already in force with ASN.

The Board of Directors of Arelion appointed Daniel Kurgan as the new President and CEO of the company. A board executive of Arelion since January 2022, Kurgan has more than 25 years of experience from the industry and several leading positions, including 14 years as CEO of BICS, Chairman of TeleSign, Chairman of Intercloud and Senior Advisor at Drake Star.

EXA Infrastructure, the largest dedicated digital infrastructure platform connecting Europe and North America, announced that its new low latency state-of-the-art route between Turkey and France, the Trans Adriatic Express (TAE), is now operational with GÉANT and Madcom, among other customers, utilizing the diversified routes.

DC BLOX has opened its Cable Landing Station (CLS) in Myrtle Beach, S.C. With design capacity at full build-out of 125,000 sq. ft. and 19 MW of power, the new CLS can host up to five subsea cables and colocation space for network and cable operators, communications providers, local enterprises, and partners.

Adtran announced that Sertex Broadband Solutions, a fiber deployment expert in the US Northeast, is utilizing its Mosaic One solution to bring high-speed fiber connectivity to the remote community of New Shoreham on Block Island.
