Deutsche Telekom has selected Netcracker Service Orchestration to automate its B2B services across multivendor software-defined WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi (SD-X) environments. Netcracker is responsible for all aspects of the cloud-based solution, including build and deployment, as well as ongoing operations delivered as a managed service. Through strong collaboration and the use of Netcracker’s self-onboarding DevOps tools, knowledge transfer program and Agile deployment, Deutsche Telekom will have the skillset and autonomy to onboard and configure new technology, services and features. The solution is hosted on AWS, ensuring global scalability if needed by clients.

Netcracker Technology announced that it received two Network Transformation Awards. Netcracker non-real-time RAN intelligent controller, part of Netcracker Open vRAN Domain Orchestration, received the award in the 5G Product Innovation category for its use of AI/ML and standard O-RAN interfaces to maximize RAN optimization. The solution, developed with Netcracker’s parent company NEC, helps support new use cases, such as AI-driven energy-efficient optimization of massive MIMO antenna systems and 5G RAN slicing.

Verizon and Google Cloud are working together to bring the power of the cloud closer to mobile and connected devices at the edge of Verizon's network. With Verizon 5G Edge with Google Distributed Cloud Edge, Verizon plans to bring Google’s compute and storage services to the edge of the local network enabling the bandwidth and low latency needed to support real-time enterprise applications like autonomous mobile robots, intelligent logistics and factory automation. The companies expect that this combination of Verizon's private On Site 5G and private 5G Edge with Google Distributed Cloud Edge will enable enterprises in industries from retail to manufacturing to unlock the power of 5G and mobile edge computing and gain operational efficiencies, higher levels of security and reliability, and improved productivity.

Beginning in 2022, Nasdaq plans to migrate its North American markets to AWS in a phased approach, starting with Nasdaq MRX, a U.S. options market. Nasdaq will use a new edge computing solution that is co-designed by Nasdaq and AWS and specifically developed for market infrastructure. This solution may also be used by other market infrastructure operators and market participants to move their trading systems to the cloud. In addition, the partnership will include opportunities to explore new ways to leverage AWS’s cloud capabilities across Nasdaq’s anti-financial crime, data and analytics, and market infrastructure software solutions.
