Thursday, 11 April 2019 10:11

AWS revealed that the new location has an objective of supporting Colombian customers in the path of adoption and transformation.

With the growing demand and acceleration of cloud computing services, the company has said that it will also help train 2,000 students in cloud technology.

The company will team up with Colombia’s public technical education institute to train students in cloud computing according to AWS’ general public sector manager for Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada, Jeffrey Kratz, who said this at the Amazon AWS Public Sector Summit at the Agorá convention centre.

“AWS offers cloud computing services for any type of company, from start-ups to companies in the public and private sectors, providing a flexible platform where customers can deploy any type of environment, such as development, testing, and development environments,” said the company.

“Mission critical and allowing them to run big-data applications, mobile applications, web applications, among others. Some clients currently using our platform are Publish, Bancolombia, ICFES and Infovalmer.”
