Sidera Networks announces that RagingWire Data Centers has selected Sidera Networks to connect to their new Ashburn, VA data center. A key consideration for the selection of Sidera’s network was its unique route, which bypasses Washington, DC.

“Sidera Networks and RagingWire Data Centers share a philosophy of delivering unique options to customers,” says Clint Heiden, president, Sidera Networks. “The combination of RagingWire’s focus on 2N+1 design, and innovative facility design, combined with Sidera’s focus on diverse connectivity, including a Washington DC bypass route, offers an unmatched option for end-customers trying to get in and out of Ashburn, VA.”

“Bringing Sidera Networks into our Virginia facility is a win-win situation for customers,” said Dan Golding, vice president and general manager of RagingWire’s Virginia data center.  “Sidera offers connectivity to most of the major metropolitan areas on the East Coast, as well as Chicago and London, with low latency and the ability to bypass those metropolitan congestion points if necessary.  Our partnership with Sidera solidifies our commitment to providing the highest possible levels of service to our customers, no matter how large their bandwidth needs or how low their latency requirements.”

RagingWire’s Virginia facility is 140,000 square feet, with 70,000 square feet used for raised floor data center space.  The facility boasts a 2N+1 redundancy level in its critical facilities infrastructure in order to lead the industry in facility uptime, offering a 100% uptime SLA.
